ABOUT
Many baseball programs come with extremely high costs, making high-level competition out of reach for many players. The Baseball Dream was created to change that. We offer high-level coaching from experienced coaches with college playing and coaching backgrounds, without the excessive price tag.
The Baseball Dream is owned and led by Murray Ruggiero, whose passion for affordability comes from personal experience. Growing up, travel baseball was not always financially attainable, and that reality helped shape the foundation of this program.
“I started The Baseball Dream to provide an affordable option for high-level baseball in Connecticut, something I wish existed when I was younger,” says Coach Ruggiero. His background includes playing college baseball and coaching at the NCAA Division II level, bringing both experience and perspective to every player in the program.
Founded in 2017 as a town-based youth program, The Baseball Dream has steadily evolved to meet the needs of advancing players. Today, the organization competes in the Connecticut Twilight League, offering high school seniors and older players the opportunity to continue playing competitive baseball against experienced competition. The program is designed for players who want to keep developing their game in a serious, structured environment while maintaining a balance between affordability, commitment, and growth.

The Baseball Dream Difference
Connecticut is home to many baseball programs that prioritize roster size over player development. The Baseball Dream takes a different approach. We focus on quality over quantity, providing serious players with strong instruction, competitive games, and an affordable path to continue playing at a high level.
Rather than fielding multiple tiers of teams, The Baseball Dream commits to one carefully selected roster. Every player earns their spot through legitimate tryouts, creating a competitive environment built on accountability and effort instead of automatic placement. This structure allows us to focus on meaningful development while competing against experienced, high-level teams in the Connecticut Twilight League.
Our players face strong regional competition without the inflated costs often seen in similar programs. By keeping our structure intentional and streamlined, we are able to provide high-level coaching, competitive games, and quality fields without unnecessary expenses. The result is a focused, affordable program for players who are serious about continuing their baseball journey.
